　Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: MXIM)宣布推出Pocket IO可编程逻辑控制器(PLC)开发平台，大幅提升生产效率。该平台帮助用户实现下一代PLC设计的最小外形尺寸和最高电源效率。
　　对于需要确保每天24小时、每周7天连续运转生产线的工业4.0设计者，生产率损失是其面临的共同挑战。如果不能随时获取智能管理数据，工厂操作员则无法实时地做出明智的决策，从而有效提高设备正常运转时间，提升收益和利润。除实时捕获数据外，PLC需要在严苛的工业环境下进行操作(无风扇)，这就需要高效电源来减小散热。
　　Maxim的Pocket IO PLC开发平台重新定义了工厂运作方式并支持工业4.0应用。为最大程度提高生产力，该平台通过实时智能管理技术，可快速、有效地做出决策，自适应生产可规避故障停机，分布式控制则提供冗余支持。Pocket IO平台为提高生产力提供以下关键优势：
　实时智能管理：快速数据处理为快速、高效地做出明智决策提供必要数据，优化生产。
　　自适应生产：允许灵活实时改变、调整生产过程，规避故障停机。
　　分布式控制：不到10立方英寸的超小尺寸和智能化电源管理使PLC能够植入到生产线，进行重新分配和智能控制，并提供冗余支持。
　　与两年前的Micro PLC平台相比，Pocket IO的尺寸减小2.5倍、功耗降低30%。MAX14913八通道高边开关和驱动器内置快速、安全的消磁箝位电路(正在申请专利)，省去前期方案中的16个二极管，空间缩小15倍。此外，MAX17681隔离buck DC-DC转换器可以提供高于90%的效率，比之前产品的电源效率提高近5%。MAX31913八通道、数字输入转换器/串行器可以在关断任意5V电源的同时，允许输入端作用高达36V的信号，省去24V电源引脚的所有保护元件，使整体方案尺寸减小50%。
