 and supervision of medium and large asynchro
nous motors requiring differential protection
 in manufacturing and process industry.
The REM620 ANSI is a dedicated motor relay pe
rfectly aligned for the protection, control,
measurement and supervision of asynchronous
motors in generation plants and manufacturing
 and process industries requiring ANSI/IEEE
standards and ring-lug terminals. Typically,
the REM620 is used with circuit breaker or
contactor controlled HV motors, and contacto
r controlled medium-sized and large low-volta
ge (LV) motors in a variety of drives such a
s pumps and conveyors, crushers and choppers,
 mixers and agitators, fans and aerators. Thr
ee alternative standard configurations are ava
ilable with comprehensive functionality to bes
t fit your motor application needs. All config
urations include RTD/mA bs and additional
binary I/O as option.
REM620 is a member of ABB’s Relion? family a
nd a part of its 620 protection and control pr
oduct series. The 620 series has been designed
to unleash the full potential of the IEC61850 s

REM601 is a numerical motor protection relay
for protection and control of medium voltage
and low voltage asynchronous motors.
REM601 is a dedicated motor protection relay,
intended for the protection of medium voltage
and low voltage asynchronous motors in manufac
turing and process industry. REM601 is a membe
r of ABB’s Relion? product family and part of
its 605 product series.
The relay provides an optimized comb o
f protection, monitoring and control functional
ity in one
unit, with the best perbance usability in i
ts class.
REM601 offers pre-configured functional-ity whi
ch facilitates easy and fast commissioning of
switchgear. The stand-ard signal configuration
of relay can be altered by relay LHMI. The relay
 can be used with both circuit-breaker and con
tactor-controlled motor drives.
Alternate to conventional current transber,
the relay has a Rogowski current sensors varian
t which helps to obtain equipment size reduc-ti
on, perbance improvement and better standardi
zation in compact MV switchgear.
