1. 润滑液的作用 
    a) 冷却作用作为冷却剂，它可有效控制压缩放热引起的温升；
    b) 润滑作用 作为润滑剂，它可在转子间形成润滑油膜；
    c) 密封作用 作为密封剂，它可填补转子与壳体以及转子与转子之间的泄漏间隙。
    d) 降噪作用 喷入的油是粘性流体，对声能和声波有吸收和阻尼作用，一般喷油后噪声可降低10～20dB(A)。 
2. 抗泡性 是指油品中通入空气时或搅拌时发泡体积的大小及消泡的快慢等性能。润滑油在实际使用中，由于受振荡、搅拌等作用，使得空气混入油中，以致形成气泡而使润滑油的流动性变坏，润滑性能变差，甚至发生气阻影响供油，使机件得不到润滑而磨损甚至烧结
