【题解及原文】这是周人叙述历史的诗篇之一，歌咏公刘从邰迁豳的事迹。章写起程之前。第二章写初到豳地，相土安民。第三章写营建都邑。第四章写宴饮群臣。第五章写拓垦土田。第六章写继续营建。 笃公刘，匪居匪康。乃埸乃疆，乃积乃仓。乃裹餱粮，于橐于囊。思辑用光，弓矢斯张；干戈戚扬，爰方启行。 笃公刘，于胥斯原。既庶既繁，既顺乃宣，而无永叹。陟则在巘，复降在原。何以舟之？维玉及瑶，鞞琫容刀。 笃公刘，逝彼百泉。瞻彼溥原，撵南冈。乃觏于京，京师之野。于时处处，于时庐旅，于时言言，于时语语。 笃公刘，于京斯依。跄跄济济，俾筵俾几。既登乃依，乃造其曹。执豕于牢，酌之用匏。食之饮之，君之宗之。 笃公刘，既溥既长。既景乃冈，相其阴阳，观其流泉。其军三单，度其隰原。彻田为粮，度其夕阳。豳居允荒。 笃公刘，于豳斯馆。杉为乱，取厉取锻，止基乃理。爰众爰有，夹其皇涧。溯其过涧。止旅乃密，芮鞫之即。 【注释】 1、笃：厚。每章以“笃”字起头，赞美公刘厚于过人。“公刘”，后稷的后裔。公是称号，刘是名。 2、居、康：都训“安”。这句是说公刘在邰不敢安居。 3、埸（易yì）、疆：都是田的界畔。疆是大界，埸是小界。这句是说修治田亩。 4、积：在露天堆积粮谷。仓：在屋内堆积粮谷。以上都是叙述在邰地故居的事。 5、餱（喉hóu）：干粮。 6、橐（驮tuó）、囊：都庶粮的用具，就是口袋。囊有底，橐无底（盛物则结束两端）。 7、辑：和。用：犹“而”。这句是说公刘要使人心，国族光大。 8、干：盾。戚、扬：都是，斧类。 9、爰：犹“于是”。方：始。启行：开辟道路。 10、胥：相察，和《大雅?绵》（Y-077）篇 “胥宇”的“胥”相同。斯原：指豳（今陕西邠县）地的原野。 11、庶、繁：言陆续随公刘迁来的人多了。 12、顺：安，和。宣：通“畅”。这句连下句是说众人情绪和畅，安于新土，没有长叹的人。 13、巘（演yǎn）：不连于大山的小山。这句和下句写公刘上下山原，相察地势。 14、舟：通“周”。周，环绕，带。这一问句的作用是引起对于公刘身上佩件的描写。 15、鞞（俾bǐ）：刀鞘上端的饰物。琫（绷běng）：刀鞘下端的装饰。容刀：佩刀。这句是说用玉、瑶装饰鞞、琫。 16、逝：往。百泉：众泉。 17、溥（谱pǔ）：大。 18、觏（够gòu）：见。京：豳之地名。当在南冈之下。 19、师：都邑之称，如洛邑亦称洛师。京师就是京邑。京师连称始见于此，后来才成为天子所居城邑的名称。 20、于时：即“于是”。处：居住。 21、庐、旅：二字同义，寄。疑原作“庐庐”或“旅旅”，和上下文一律用叠字。以上二句是说使常住的人有住处，远来暂居的人有寄托处。以下二句描写众人笑语欢乐。 22、依：言安居。上章“处处”是众民定居。这里“斯依”是君长定居。 23、跄跄（qiāng）：行动安适貌。济济：庄严貌。 24、筵：竹席，铺在地上。俾筵就是说使众宾就席。几：坐时凭倚的用具。 25、登：谓登席。依：谓凭几。
